We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients in a hospital setting, and Long-Term Care specifically in geriatrics and acute care. Your role will involve providing patient care, case management, and utilizing your expertise to improve the quality of life for individuals with physical and cognitive challenges.
Duties:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and independence
- Provide guidance and education to patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Monitor and document patients' progress throughout the treatment process
- Utilize medical terminology and maintain accurate records
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy at an accredited College/University
- Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Minimum 2 yrs experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred
- Knowledge of Geriatrics occupational therapy techniques is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
